Fishing – Fly Fishing

As strange as it may sound fly fishing is a awesome sport, hobby or as some may even call it an art. Like most sports there are guidelines to following when playing the game. With fly fishing the game is the fly casting and retrieving. Like most sports if you don't follow the rules or guideline you suffer the consequences and with this sport the consequences are lost fish, tangles with your line etc.

Seeing somebody fly fish from the distance makes it look complicated and difficult, when in fact it isn't. As I said above there are guidelines to follow when fly casting and if they are not followed you will not result in a cast or a good, accurate cast. Casting your fly rod will may not come to you over night. It can take several hours of practice before you get anywhere, but once you have mastered fly casting it will be with you forever.

With fly casting there is the simple pick up, and cast, but there are also other technique which allow you to fish better i.e be able to get a slow drift in fast running water, cast behind a rock, the double haul, this is all in you casting.

The best way to be able to learn to fly fish is by increasing your either by reading lots of information and watching video clips or getting some to teach you how to cast. Whatever way you learn it is up to you, but the quickest way is to get someone to teach you how to do.
